Concentrating the mind and focusing on one thing is called meditation. In ancient times the sage Muni used to meditate on God. In the state of meditation, the meditator forgets the environment around him and also himself. By meditating, spiritual and mental powers are developed. Put the object that is tied in the mind in such a way that it cannot move away from it even if there is an external effect, it is called meditation.

TYPES OF MEDITATION

Breath observation

The most important of any technique of meditation is breathing or monitoring the person's breath.  Concentrate on your mother-in-law for a very short duration of a few minutes to a few seconds, as simple as breath observation.  To begin with the breath observation meditation technique, sit on a flat surface.  Remember that the surrounding environment should be calm and serene.  Sit up straight and place your hands on your knees.

Take a deep breath and exhale slowly.  Breathe through your nose as it carries all the oxygen to the bottom of the lungs.  If your mind is wandering for the first time during your meditation session, refocus your breathing pattern and do this meditation as long as you are comfortable doing it.

 Meditation with a calm mind

Meditation, for many experts or regular practitioners, is a source of clearing all thoughts from the mind.  However, to do this, one has to sit with your back straight and eyes closed while keeping patience on a flat surface.  Then calm the mind.  Meditation can be particularly difficult for those who start it because any kind of effort on the mind can be due to incorrect practice of technique.  Just be patient and practice your rest.

 Walking meditation

The Walking Meditation practitioner needs to fully utilize his or her body.  This can be done outside or inside a room.  When you start walking, pay attention to the way your body moves, and your feet are compressed when it comes in contact with the ground.  While walking, pay attention to your breath as well.  If you are planning to use the Walking Meditation technique outside your home, ensure a place that is away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.  The health benefits of meditation are infinite.

 Mindfulness Exercises

Mindfulness exercise is also called insight meditation.  In mindfulness exercise, you can focus on your breathing patterns to raise awareness of all that is happening around you.  Slowly, come out of thoughts which can disturb your mind and focus on whether the area of your body and mind is going beyond the realm.  See this with the key of meditation technique and listen without identifying or analyzing what is being seen or heard.

 Saral Mantra Meditation

Mantra meditation is considered to be one of the easiest methods of meditation as it takes you away from all thoughts by focusing on just one object.  Chanting mantras help a lot of people, who want to practice this technique.  An experienced master who understands his or her expectations from a regular meditation routine usually chooses mantras.  While doing this meditation, you can either choose to chant the mantra aloud or in your mind.

Many other types of meditation techniques are also well available, but they should be practiced regularly.  However, it should be understood that these techniques are generally used in conforming to certain situations.
